GENERAL:
Voted pre-season All-MAAC in 2007 as an infielder... Returning from two wrist surgeries this season... As the starting shorstop in 2006 she had one of her best seasons and received her second All-MAAC Second Team honors... One of the most versatile athletes on the team... Has the ability to hit for power or average and will look to produce offense while continuing in the middle of the Gaels lineup... Has quick hands defensively... Named a team captain for the 2006 & 2007 seasons... Born 9/8/1984...Majoring in Psychology.

AS A JUNIOR:
Funn had her best season in Maroon & Gold batting .391 with a career-best 50 hits in 128 at-bats while starting all 42 games at shortstop... Her 10 extra base hits and 26 RBI also totaling 16 multiple hit games and seven games with two or more RBI... Set a career-high in virtually every statistical category, nearly doubling her doubles, triples, RBI, walks, and stolen base output... It is her second All-MAAC second team accolades after winning the honor as a freshman while playing first base... Also named to the pre-season All-MAAC team.

AS A SOPHOMORE:
Finished fourth on the team with a .275 batting average appearing in 36 games and starting 27 at first base... Collected 25 hits in 91 at bats including three homeruns and 15 RBI... Had five multi-hit games and was tied for second on the squad with six multi-RBI efforts...

AS A FRESHMAN:
Appeared in 36 games making 33 starts... Earned second team All-MAAC honors at First Base, one of five Gaels named to an All-Conference team... Batted .333, second highest on the Gaels... Had a .458 slugging percentage while hitting two home runs and driving in 16 runs... Recorded six multi-hit games...

BEFORE IONA:
Four-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball, soccer and softball where she received All-League honors in all three sports at Cabrillo HS... Was awarded league MVP honors her senior softball season after leading her squad to a 21-7 record... Played club softball for the Santa Maria Streak.
