Eric Teepe

Eric Teepe

Eric Teepe was named the head women's soccer coach at Iona College in July of 2006.

In addition to his role at Iona, Eric also works with the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I ODP staff. He currently is a senior coach with the under-15 age group, after previously being a coach with the under-17 and U-12 team. He has been on the staff since 1999. Over the past two years, his teams have won the inter-regional event held in Coral Springs, FL. The teams have combined for a 5-0-1 record versus the West, South, and Midwest regions and has had numerous players called into national camp after the event.

Teepe most recently served as the Director of Training for the Long Island Lady Riders of the USL W-League. From 1994-2002, he served as an assistant coach of the women's soccer team at Stony Brook University, where he handled training, recruiting, budgeting, and scheduling. In addition, he was Stony Brook's goalkeeper coach from 1994-97.  He also ran the 2001 overseas trip to Europe where the team played against such top European teams including FFC Frankfurt and TSV Nirderkirchen.

Teepe coached in the Eastern New York Olympic Development Program from 1997-2002, heading up the under-17 girls squad while also working with the under-14 and under-13 age groups. Currently he is coaching the under-14 team.

He also coaches with the Northport Soccer Club, where he has led teams to numerous State Cup championships. Teepe has also attained his USSF and NSCAA Advanced National Coaching licenses.

A graduate of Averett College in Danville, VA, Teepe served in several capacities at his alma mater, including athletic assistant, sports information director, and assistant outdoor coach and head indoor coach.

Teepe remains an active member of the Northport Men's Soccer Club and lives on Long Island with his wife, Christine, and two daughters, Emily and Allison.
