Jacqueline Skeen joined the Iona University women’s volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025 season.
Skeen brings over a decade of coaching experience at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. Prior to arriving in New Rochelle, she served as head varsity volleyball coach at Briarcliff High School in Northern Westchester County, New York, overseeing all levels of the program and emphasizing development through engaging, skills-based training. She also led the junior varsity program at Fox Lane High School in Bedford and has coached the 18s team at Robert Jacobson Sports VBC in Ardsley since 2022.
At the collegiate level, Skeen served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Siena College, from 2014–2016, working primarily with middle blockers and outside hitters, contributing to recruiting efforts, and assisting with in-match strategy and adjustments.
A standout middle blocker for the Saints, Skeen was a four-year starter and helped lead Siena to the 2014 MAAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. She was named First Team All-MAAC and earned MAAC All-Tournament honors that season after posting a career-best .276 hitting percentage and 1.24 blocks per set. She finished her collegiate career ranked second all-time at Siena with 451 blocks and added 923 kills over four seasons. Skeen earned All-Tournament Team honors twice, was named a COBRA Magazine All-Northeast Honorable Mention as a freshman, and delivered several clutch postseason performances — including a nine-kill, seven-block effort in the 2014 MAAC title match and a career-high 17 kills in a 2012 win over Iona.
Following her collegiate career, Skeen played professionally in Germany for SSC Freisen in the 2. Bundesliga Pro league.
A native of White Plains, New York, Skeen earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Siena College and holds a master’s degree in advanced psychology from the University of Essex in England.
