Morgan Roessler is entering her second season as a graduate assistant for the Iona College volleyball program.

In her first season at Iona the team made it to the conference championship, Jamie Smith named was MAAC Rookie of the year, Claire Archibald was named to the All-ECAC Volleyball and All-MAAC first team, and eight student-athletes were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.

Roessler was a two sport athlete at SUNY New Paltz playing volleyball for four years and basketball for two. In volleyball, Roessler excelled playing in 473 sets, with 1,259 kills. She was SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in 2013 along with Second team All-SUNYAC in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 and 2016 she took home First Team All-SUNYAC, AVCA honorable mention All-America, and AVCA All-Region. Roessler was named the SUNYAC Player of the Year in 2016. In her two year basketball career, she competed in 51 games, scoring 237 points. 

Roessler graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelors degree in Organizational Communication Studies with a minor in Deaf Studies. She is currently in Iona's Graduate Program studying to get a degree in elementary education.
