AS A SENIOR (2023):
  • MAAC All-Academic Team selection. 
  • 2023-2024 MAAC Honor Roll.
  • 1x MAAC Player of the Week.
  • Appeared in 91 sets over 30 matches. 
  • Registered 573 assists, 6.30 aps. (Both led the team) 
  • Added 121 digs and and led the team with 30 aces.
  • Notched at least one assist in all 30 matches. 
  • 10 games with 20 or more assists.
  • Recorded six aces against Marist. (Oct. 21)
  • Season & Careeer high 50 assists against Manhattan (Oct. 14)
AS A JUNIOR (2022):
  • MAAC All-Academic Team selection. 
  • Appeared in 92 sets over 29 matches. 
  • Registered 491 assists, 5.34 aps. (Both led the team) 
  • Added 157 digs and 36 aces.  
  • Notched at least one assist in 28 out of 29 matches. 
  • 13 games with 20 or more assists. 
  • Posted three double-doubles. (Assists & Digs)
  • Recorded seven aces at Quinnipiac. (Nov. 17)
  • Season high 34 assists against Niagara (Oct. 2)
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021):
  • MAAC All-Academic Team honoree
  • Appeared in 24 matches 71 sets
  • Set career-bests with 273 assists and 100 digs
  • Registered career-high 39 assists in win at Saint Peter's (Nov. 6)
AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21):
  • Appeared in five matches and 13 sets
  • Recorded 46 assists and registered 16 digs
  • Had two matches with double-digit assists, including a season-best 22 assists in win vs. Quinnipiac (Mar. 19)
BEFORE IONA:
  • Played scholastically at Clarkstown HS South
  • All-Section as a Senior, All-League as a Junior and Senior, Second Team All-County as a Junior, First Team All-County as a Senior
  • 2019 AAU Academic All-American, 2019 AVCA Under Armour All-Region Team, 2019 AVCA Under Armour All-America Watch List, 2018 AVCA Phenom Watch List with her club programs
  • Off of the court, she was involved with National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, World Language Honor Society and the Social Studies Honor Society
GET TO KNOW TAMARA:
  • Why Did You Choose Iona?: It was a perfect distance from home and a major city. I also felt that I fit well with the team and coach.
  • Favorite Athlete: Samantha Seliger-Swenson
  • Favorite Food: Chicken Fingers
  • Hobbies: Painting, binge watching shows
  • Interesting Fact: Ironically, I am a setter but I have broken all my fingers in my right hand.
  • Pregame Ritual: I try to listen to calm music instead of the typical upbeat, hype music. I find that this settles my nerves and keeps me in a focused mindset for the game
  • Person I'd Most Like To Meet: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She is the youngest woman to be elected to the US House of Representatives and the manner that she presents herself when discusses certain topics is something I aspire to be
  • After Iona I Plan On: Pursuing a Juris Doctorate and Master's in Public Health with a concentration in health law and policy
