Greg Judge is entering his ninth season with the Iona University men's and women's water polo program and serves as its Director of Operations.
An Iona University Arrigoni Hall of Fame in inductee, Judge was one of the most successful players in the history of the water polo program.
The eldest of five water polo standout brothers at Iona, Judge graduated near the top of virtually every category in the record book. He ranked first all-time in points and steals per game averaging 5.5 points and 2.9 steals in 69 career matches.Â
He was also one of the all-time single season leaders in points scored and assists at the time of his graduation, ranking fourth on both, tallying 147 and 74, respectively, in 1983. Judge also held three Iona single-game records. His 13 points, including a single-game best eight assists in a 1983 match versus Trinity and 10 goals against Coast Guard in 1982, ranked him atop the records list in each category.
The captain of the Gaels’ 1982 and 1983 squads, Judge was voted the team MVP in both seasons. He ranked as the eighth all-time leading scorer at the time of his Hall of Fame induction, tallying 380 points with 205 goals and 175 assists. He also ranked seventh all-time in steals with 200.
