Iona University Athletics

Joe Przekota is entering his ninth season as an assistant coach for the Iona University men's water polo program. Przekota lends his experienced hands having already been a Gaels a student-athlete from 2006-09. He was a member of both the swimming & diving and water polo programs, and served as team captain for three years.

Przekota's family has a legacy with the Maroon & Gold. John Przekota '99, Dom Przekota '01, and Chris Przekota '04 '05 MBA all played large parts as members of the Maroon & Gold water polo and swimming & diving programs.

He is currently living in Larchmont, NY and working at Indeed.com as an account executive while assisting the Gaels. Prezekota is married to former Iona volleyball student-athlete Colleen Gennet. She played from 2007-11 and is now working at CBS Television.

Przekota earned his degree from Iona in Criminal Justice in 2010.
