David Tottori was named the inaugural head coach of the Iona University women's golf program in July 2024 and leads the Gaels in their first season of competition in 2025-26.

Tottori arrived in New Rochelle with coaching experience at three different institutions and a background working with both men's and women's programs.

Prior to joining Iona, Tottori spent the 2023-24 season as assistant coach for the men's golf program at Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Before his time at Westminster, Tottori served two seasons as assistant coach for both the men's and women's golf programs at the University of Northern Colorado. During his tenure in Greeley, he helped guide the men's program to the 2023 Big Sky Conference Tournament Championship and assisted in the development of seven All-Big Sky selections. On the women's side, Northern Colorado placed among the top six at the Big Sky Championship.

Tottori also helped mentor men's golfers Jack Castiglia and TJ Shehee to individual tournament victories and Big Sky Player of the Week honors. The Northern Colorado men's team also earned a runner-up finish at the Big Sky Championship during the 2021-22 season.

Tottori began his collegiate coaching career at St. Francis Brooklyn, his alma mater, during the 2019-20 season. As an assistant coach, he worked in all areas of the women's golf program, overseeing training sessions and assisting with recruiting. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Tottori served as a graduate assistant within the St. Francis athletic department, primarily working in marketing.

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tottori played collegiately for two seasons at Hawai'i Hilo before transferring to St. Francis Brooklyn. At Hawai'i Hilo, he earned Pacific West Conference Honor Roll recognition in both seasons.

Tottori concluded his collegiate career at St. Francis Brooklyn, where he was a two-time team MVP in 2017 and 2019. He served as team captain during the 2018-19 season and earned All-NEC Honor Roll recognition in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Tottori earned his bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in sport management from St. Francis Brooklyn in 2019. He later completed a Master of Science in business management from St. Francis in 2021.

Prior to his collegiate career, Tottori was a two-time all-league selection at Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas while also competing in various amateur tournaments. He graduated from Beacon Academy of Nevada in 2014.
