Madison Stanley

Stanley joined the Iona coaching staff in June 2024 after serving as an assistant coach at her alma mater, FDU in 2023-24.
 
The Knights went 14-17 in 2023-24, going 11-5 in NEC play and reached the NEC semifinals. She started her coaching career at the College of Charleston in 2022-23. The Cougars had an 11-win campaign falling to eventual conference champions, Monmouth in the second round of the CAA Women’s Basketball Championship.
 
Stanley, a native of Woodbridge, NJ had a decorated career at FDU from 2017-22, playing three seasons under coach Szumilo. She was the first Knight to garner Northeast Conference Player of the Year honors, leading the team with 12.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 45 blocks in 2021-22. Stanley posted 14.6 points per game and .522 shooting percentage from the floor as FDU captured the NEC Regular season title for the first time since 1992-93.
 
She garnered All-MET First Team, First Team All-NEC and ECAC Second Team honors in her final season. Stanley averaged 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds on the way to All-NEC First team honors in 2020-21. She was a five-time NEC Player of the Week and totaled 1,094 career points and 587 career rebounds in her career.
 
Stanley graduated from FDU in 2021 with a degree in psychology and minor in criminal justice and earned a master’s in sport management in 2022.
