Thazina Cook was named Director of Basketball Operations at the start of the 2010-11 season after a highly successful playing career in Maroon & Gold.  She is a 2010 Iona College graduate.

As a Gael, Cook was a two-year team captain and 1,000 point scorer.  She was named to the All-MAAC First Team and All-Met Second Team in 2009 and 2010 and was a member of the 2010 MAAC All-Tournament Team.  In Iona's all-time record book, Cook ranked in the top 11 in nine statistical categories upon her graduation, including points (11th), rebounds (8th), steals (5th), blocks (9th), and games played (2nd).

In her new position off the court, Cook's priorities will be to orchestrate team travel arrangements, coordinate community service and school outreach initiatives, and manage the team's academic meetings.  She will also serve as co-director for the women's basketball summer camp.
