AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) -- Greg Gamble had 15 points and 10 rebounds as Buffalo defeated Iona 65-54 Tuesday.

Gamble posted a season high in points and tied a season high in rebounds as Buffalo (4-2) posted four players in double figures. Eric Moore also scored 15 points while grabbing six rebounds. Yassin Idbihi scored 13 points with eight rebounds, while Parnell Smith had 10 points and seven boards.

Iona's (0-3) third straight loss saw the Gaels shoot over 40 percent for the first time this season. The Gaels were 21-of-50 from the floor (42 percent) but were 5-fo-20 from beyond the 3-point arc and 7-for-16 from the foul line.

Buffalo was 20 for 55 from the field (36.4 percent) for the game but 21-of-28 from the foul line.

Anthony Bruin led Iona with 13 points and eight rebounds while Milan Prodanovic had 10 points while Kyle Camper had 9 assists and 7 points.

Buffalo held as much as a 20-point lead, 53-33 with nine minutes left before a 17-2 run brought Iona back to within five with 1:21 to go. Then Gamble and Idbihi each converted two-shot attempts at the foul line, sealing the win.

Early on, Buffalo had the look of a fatigued team. Playing their fourth game in five nights, the Bulls converted just one of their first nine from the field and were out-rebounded in the first half 20-13.

But a four-minute, 14-2 Bulls run built a seven-point lead while the Gaels committed 20 turnovers and were a dismal 9-for-22 from the floor as Buffalo took a 12-point advantage, 34-22 to the locker room at halftime.
