NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona University men's basketball team announced its 2026-27 schedule, featuring 11 non-conference games and 20 Metro Conference regular-season contests. One additional non-conference game will be revealed in the coming weeks.
November / December 2026

Nov. 2 · Vermont
Iona takes on the first of four America East opponents in its non-league schedule, welcoming Vermont to New Rochelle. Iona owns an 8-3 all-time record against the Catamounts, with the matchup continuing a series that has featured 11 previous meetings. It will be the third straight season the two teams square off and four of the last five.  Iona has won four straight since 2022.
Â
Nov. 5 · NJIT
Iona hosts NJIT, another America East foe, on Nov. 5 as part of the inaugural America East-Metro Conference Challenge. The Gaels own a 2-0 record against the Highlanders after a home-and-home sweep in 2016 and 2017.
Â
Iona then hits the road for three consecutive games, traveling to Fordham, Hofstra and UMBC.
Â
Nov. 10 · at Fordham
The Gaels travel to Rose Hill Gymnasium to face the Atlantic 10's Fordham. Â
The Maroon & Gold completes non-conference play on the road for two games before the Christmas holiday.

Iona travels to Charlotte to face the 49ers of the American Conference. The Gaels won both previous meetings and own a 2-0 all-time record in the series. The two teams previously met more than 40 years ago in an Iona home-and-home sweep in 1982 and 1983.
Â
Dec. 18 · at Saint Mary's
The Maroon & Gold travels to Moraga, California, for the fourth-ever Gaels-Gaels matchup with Saint Mary's.
