LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) -- Terrance Mouton scored 17 of his game-high 22 points in the second half as Rider rallied for a 69-55 win over Iona on Thursday night.
Jason Thompson added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Broncs (6-2, 1-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who hit 60 percent of their shots in the second half after hitting just 30 percent before the break.
Milan Prodanovic had 15 points to lead the Gaels (0-6, 0-1), while Anthony Bruin added 10 points and eight rebounds and Mike Harris also had 10 points.
Trailing 31-26 early in the second half, the Broncs took the lead for good with a 13-3 run that was culminated by Mouton's 3-pointer with 13:23 left. Iona tried to rally, but Rider's defense tightened as the Gaels went cold from the floor, hitting just 40 percent of their shots in the second half.
