Stony Brook, NY - Stony Brook netted two goals in the final 19 minutes of the game in a 2-0 victory over the Iona College women's soccer team this evening. Junior netminder Suzanne Baldissard had eight saves in the loss.

After playing scoreless soccer for the first 70+ minutes of the contest, the Seawolves' Trine Allenberg broke the tie in the 71st minute. The home team added another score less than six minutes later as Aria Tanzi put home a shot attempt.

Iona (0-2) was out shot 17-8. Freshmen Diane Hare and Ali Werner had two a piece to lead the Gaels.

The Gaels return to action on the road this weekend in a trip through New England with a Friday tilt at UMass and a Sunday game at New Hampshire.
