Anna McLean added 10 in the loss.
Manhattan (14-11, 9-5 MAAC) jumped out to an early 8-0 lead through the first three minutes of the contest. The Gaels (15-10, 9-5 MAAC) chipped away with an 11-4 run over the next four minutes to cut the deficit to a point at 13:05. The Lady Jaspers regained a six point advantage at the 10:14 mark on an Aubrie Dellinger three pointer. The Gaels rallied to tie and went ahead, scoring the games next eight points. A
Catherine Lutz three pointer and a McLean layup capped the run, giving Iona its only lead of the contest, 21-19 with 6:40 on the clock. It was at that point that Manhattan went on its decisive run to take a 43-26 lead entering the break.
Manhattan continued to pour in points scoring the second half's first five points, taking a 22-point advantage early in the frame. The Gaels struggled to find an answer for Manhattan's aggressive defense and fell in the end by an 82-57 margin.
McLean added eight rebounds including six offensive to go along with her 10 points. DeFalco drained 4-of-8 three point attempts, all well beyond the three point line. Seniors

Jessica Smith had six points a piece.
Manhattan's Gabrielle Cottrell had a game-high 22 points for the home team.
Iona looks to regroup with a short rest between Sunday's (Feb. 17) tilt with Canisius at the Hynes Center.
