CLEVELAND, OH - Junior Michael Glover's 28 and senior Rashon Dwight's career-high 19 points were not enough to solve Cleveland State in a 78-68 loss at the Wolstein Center. The Gaels (0-2) begin the 2010-11 campaign and the World Vision Classic with two straight losses.

Iona made a late run and cut a 13-point second half deficit to just six points with less than 75 seconds remaining. Glover hit two free throws and converted a thunderous dunk to make the score 74-68 but the Maroon & Gold would not get any closer.

Glover posted 28 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field and 12-of-15 from the charity stripe. He added nine rebounds and two blocks in 38 minutes of play. Dwight recorded his career-best night on 6-of-15 shooting including three trifectas and a 4-for-5 effort from the line. He had a team best five assists and three steals to go along with his four rebounds.

Junior Jermel Jenkins had his second straight double-digit point effort with 10 points. He added four points while connecting on two three-pointers.

The Vikings (2-0) were led by Preseason All-Horizon First Team performer Norris Cole who posted 25 points, five assists and four steals. Trevon Harmon Had a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards.

Rebounding and foul shooting proved to be the difference in the game. Cleveland State held a 38-27 advantage on the boards and shot an incredible 22-for-23 from the free-throw line. The Gaels were a respectable 17-for-23 in the loss.

Iona completes action at the World Vision Classic when they take on Bryant (0-2) at 3:00 pm.
