BALTIMORE, MD - The Iona College women's basketball team posted its second win in three days with a 72-70 victory over Loyola in MAAC action at Reitz Arena.  The Gaels came out on top in the neck-and-neck contest to advance their record to 15-10 overall and 11-3 in conference play.

Thazina Cook led the Maroon & Gold with 19 points in the win followed by 15 from Kristina Ford.  Suzi Fregosi matched her season-high with 14 points while adding five rebounds, three steals, and two assists.  Anna McLean led all players with nine rebounds and added nine points, one assist, and one block.  Tomica Bacic had her highest output of the year with six points.

For the Greyhounds, Erica DiClemente and Miriam McKenzie reached 19 points apiece with Katie Sheahin adding 15.

Iona picks back up on Friday (Feb. 19) with a 7:00 pm tilt at Fairfield.
