LOUDONVILLE, NY - The No. 16/25 Iona College men's soccer team suffered its first defeat in eight contests in a 1-0 overtime loss at Siena. The Saints' Daniel Alderstad scored in the 102nd minute to lead his squad to its second win over a nationally ranked opponent.

Siena held an 18-11 shot advantage for the contest including all four shots registered in the overtime frames.

Iona's best opportunity came in the 84th minute as sophomore Orlando Castaneda's free- kick attempt was stopped by a sprawling save by Siena netminder Jack Binks. 

Binks stopped both attempts on net while freshman Borja Barbero made four saves for Iona which also saw its eight-game MAAC winning streak halted.

Iona is back in action on Wednesday when they host non-conference opponent Army at Mazzella Field.
