TOLEDO, OH - Senior forward
Kristina Ford led all scorers with 18 points with seven rebounds in the Iona College women's basketball team's 54-42 loss to the reigning WNIT Champion Toledo Rockets Thursday afternoon at Savage Arena.
The Gaels struggled offensively throughout the contest, shooting a season low 31% from the field, as were the 42 points accumulated by only four Gaels. Senior guard

Jiya Dorcas-Eya were the next highest scorers with eight points each. Toledo controlled the glass in the contest, outrebounding the Gaels 52-42, with 11 rebound difference on the offensive end.
A jumper by Ford with 5:51 left in the contest tied the game at 42 before Toledo closed the game scoring the last 12 points, led by six from junior Kyle Baumgartner. Baumgartner led the Rockets with 15 points in the contest and pulled down nine rebounds.
The Gaels continue play in Ohio Friday when they take on Miami (OH) at 1:30 pm.
