JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Iona College men's soccer team improved to 3-0 in MAAC action this season with a 3-2 win over Saint Peter's Sunday afternoon.
Saint Peter's jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 13 minutes into the game. AJ Johnson threw the ball in and found Andrew Kelly who headed the ball to Betim Bajrami, who connected on his third goal of the season.

Iona took the lead in the 41st minute when senior MF
Douglas Stephens took a pass from sophomore MF
Giovanni Esposito and beat the defense from 25 yards out for his third tally of the season.
Stephens netted his second goal of the match in the 66th minute off a rebound of his own shot to give the Gaels a two-goal margin.
The Gaels only allowed one shot in the second half to Saint Peter's, which resulted in a goal by Kelly.
Iona outshot Saint Peter's 11-9 overall, including a 5-1 margin in the second half.

Borja Barbero made two saves in the contest, while Saint Peter's goalkeeper Carlos Suarez made three saves.
The Gaels resume play Friday, when they host Loyola Maryland at 3:00 pm at Mazzella Field.
