NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Fairfield on Saturday afternoon at Mazzella Field. 

Fairfield was led by Kasey Schulz with a pair of goals, as the Stags scored two minutes into the contest off a tally by Shannon Fay.  The visitors added two more markers in the first half with Schulz scoring her first in the 12th minute and Stephanie Sutherby scoring in the 39th.  Schulz added her second goal late in the contest, leading her team to victory. 

Iona finished the game with an 8-3 disadvantage in shots as junior GK Trista Rivera made one stop. Fairfield GK Kathleen Early made two saves on attempts by senior D Leah Taylor and sophomore F Samantha Fiorenzo. 

With the loss, the Gaels drop to 5-8-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the MAAC. 

Iona will conclude the regular season next weekend when they host Manhattan on Friday afternoon, followed by Saint Peter's on Sunday.
