Box Score CLEVELAND, OH - The Iona College men's basketball team dropped its season opener at Cleveland State, 73-69. It was a tale of two halves for the Gaels as a 15-point halftime advantage quickly evaporated in the heartbreaking four-point defeat.
Junior David Laury led the Maroon & Gold with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He shot 6-for-12 from the field and had two assists. Senior Sean Armand scored 16 of his 17 points in the first half. Armand added four rebounds and two steals. Senior Tre Bowman posted 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes off the bench.
Sophomore Bryn Forbes led the Vikings with 22 points.
