Bethlehem, PA - After both teams failed to score on their first possessions, Lehigh jumped out to an early lead. The Gaels trailed by five going into the second half but the Mountain Hawks scored five unanswered goals giving them a comfortable lead.

GAME SUMMARY

On Offense Iona was led by Juniors Caton Brisbin and Sara Stewart with three and two goals respectively. Junior Madi Kochanek assisted on two of the five goals while the other three goals came unassisted. 

Lehigh opened the game scoring three of the first four goals in the match. Stewart got the Gaels on the board with 20:59 left in the first half. With 13:22 left on the clock Brisbin found the back on the net, her first on the day, which cut the Mountain Hawk lead to two. Lehigh scored three more unanswered goals to close out the first half. 

Lehigh came out of half time on fire with five unanswered goals. Brisbin scored her second of the game with 16:00 minutes left and then her third eight minutes later for the Gaels final tally of the day. The Maroon & Gold were out scored 8-2 in the second half, losing 16-5.

• Samantha Tyo made 13 saves in net and grabbed one ground ball
• Lehigh led Iona in shots 38-18 and ground balls 15-10
• Brisbin recorded her first career hat trick on perfect shooting percentage
• Lehigh caused 21 Iona turnovers
