NEWÂ Rochelle, NY -Â The Iona College men's and women's swimming and diving team returned to action Wednesday night at the Hynes Pool, hosting Atlantic 10 power Fordham University for the first time in three years.
MEET SUMMARY
The Fordham women swam away with a decisive 180-107 victory and pulled away in the last half of the men's meet for a 152-118 win. The pair of losses drops the Iona women's season mark to 7-4 and the men fall to 6-4.Â
The Iona women claimed three individual wins in the meet with
Luiza Da Silveira (100-Back);
Julia Moser (100-Breast) and
Taylor Spillman (200-IM).

The Iona men had five race victories with
Michael Faughnan and
Conor Mullin each picking up two each. Faughnan took the 1000-Free and 500-Free. Mullin claimed the 100 and 200-Butterfly events.
Emil Bajramovic touched first in the 100-Breast.
Coaches COMMENTS
"The crowd tonight was loud and excited and there was a lot of energy on both sides of the pool," commented Coach
Nick Cavataro. "We were aggressive in every race, which is great to see, but we didn't finish the way we will need to on Saturday and in the MAAC Championships in February. We will be better."

 The team has one more regular season meet remaining which will take place on Saturday January 29th, at Hynes Center Pool when they host MAAC rival Manhattan College on Senior Day starting at 1PM.
