Trailing 1-0 following Julia Nicholas' goal early for Manhattan in the first half, a corner kick attempt from senior
Kate McNally found Thomas in front of the goal, who kicked a shot into the back of the net in the 59th minute to tie the game at one apiece. The Jaspers tallied the go-ahead score as Kaitlyn Cooke found the back of the net on a penalty kick in the 89th minute to take the victory.
The Maroon and Gold held a 15-10 shot advantage. Rookie
Marissa Graziano led the team in attempts with five off the bench. Freshman goalkeeper
Savannah Rogers played the entire bout and made two saves.
The Gaels look ahead to a MAAC contest on the road at Quinnipiac on Saturday (October 7) with a noon kick off. The Maroon & Gold return home next Wednesday (October 11), for a MAAC encounter with Rider`.
