AUSTIN, TX - The Iona University women's soccer team fell to No. 9 Texas, 6-0, in non-conference action at Myers Stadium. The Gaels (1-3) and Longhorns nearly 52 minutes of scoreless soccer before the top 10 home team exploded for six tallies in the final 38+ minutes.
Texas held a 35-5 advantage in shots, five different Gaels recorded shots with graduate forward
Sofia Giamanco registering the lone tally on goal.

The Longhorns' Lexi Missimo had three goals and an assist in the win.
Iona hosts Wagner in its next conference on Thursday (August 31) at Mazzella Field or a 4 p.m. tilt with the Seahawks.
