Mora led off the bottom of the third with single to shortstop for the Gaels. LIU then recorded two quick outs. Sophomore
Josiah Ragsdale stepped to the plate and lined a single to right field as Mora advanced to third. Freshman

Iona looked to answer in the bottom half of the inning as Febo started the frame with a single through the left side. He advanced to third on a single down the right field line by sophomore

Matt Wessels hit a grounder to shortstop, but the throw bounced just short for a failed pick at first allowing Febo to score and give Iona back the lead 4-3.
Hard settled in over the next three innings surrendering just one hit as the Sharks stranded three runners. Kuentzel then took the bump in the eighth, working a one-two-three inning.
