NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Iona University women's soccer team saw its five-game unbeaten streak snap on Saturday afternoon, falling to Quinnipiac, 2-0 at Mazzella Field. The Bobcats used a strong opening half to take the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup over the Gaels.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kayla Kalbaugh tallied five second half saves for the Maroon & Gold. Sophomore Dolene Smith and rookie Mya Jackson led the team with three shot attempts.

Momentum continued to swing in Quinnipiac's favor, drawing a free kick in the attacking third just eight minutes later. Anderson sent in a cross to a wide-open Morgan Cupo to bury the point black shot attempt for the 2-0 advantage.
