THE Rundown
Tochi Agwamba started the scoring with a coast-to-coast pole goal, his first tally for the Maroon & Gold in his career. Two responses from Manhattan found the net before Iona responded with their own pair of goals from and unassisted
Vincent Pititto effort and a
Cullen Lawry assist to
Max Monzo. Lawry would find one more assist with a dish to
Kolbe Curtin, but the Jaspers put up three more to exit the first stanza with a score of 5-4 in favor of hosts.
Denny Piekutowski tallied four saves in the second period, while
Kyle Hardie scored an assist from
Jack Martinez. Despite the Maroon & Gold efforts, Manhattan totaled five goals and would send the two sides in to haftime with Iona down by a score of 10-5.
Kyle Hardie took home his second to start the second half scoring with a Lawry assist, but the Jaspers would respond with seven unanswered through and into the fourth quarter. Down by a score of 17-6 late in the final stanza, the Gaels went on a four-goal run that finished with
Caleb Kern notching his first career assist to complete
Kyle Hardie's hat-trick.
With the late push, the final score fell in favor of the hosts by a margin of 17-10.

- Cullen Lawry co-led all players with a career-high three assists, also tallying one goal for a four-point outing.
- Kyle Hardie led the Gaels with his second career hat-trick of goals, firing off five shots and landing three on frame.
