PRINCETON, NJ - The Iona University men's outdoor track team fielded six athletes at the Princeton Elite Invitational on Friday. Only competing in mid-to-long distance events, the Maroon & Gold showed their prowess with three top-three finishes and multiple personal best efforts.
Among the competitors were Iona's
Ollie Boltz, who finished first in his respective event, and
Duncan Robinson, who earned the fastest 1500-meter event time in the MAAC this season.
MEN'S 1500-meter run
Duncan Robinson laid out an incredible effort in the men's 1500-meter event, notching a personal best time of 3:40.94 on the way to a second place finish. Robinson's time now stands as the fastest outdoor effort by any MAAC athlete in 2025 by more than three seconds.
Also competing in the event was
Tristan Coles, who himself set an impressive personal best time of 3:43.35 seconds, finishing sixth in a field of 24 finishers. Coles' time is the second fastest in the MAAC this season.
MEN'S 10000-meter run
In the final event of the night at Weaver Stadium,
Ollie Boltz earned a first place finish in the 10-kilometer event. The Maroon & Gold athlete earned a sub-30 minute mark and finished almost forty seconds ahead of the closest competitor with a time of 29.41.86.
