NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Iona University men's basketball is gearing up for the 2025-26 season with a series of preseason events to engage fans across Gael Nation. From the conference-wide MAAC Tip-Off in Atlantic City to fan-favorite traditions on campus in New Rochelle, the Maroon & Gold are ready to bring the energy leading into the season. The Gaels open the new campaign at the Hynes Center on November 7, vs. metro-area rival Hofstra.

Men's and women's basketball head coaches
Dan Geriot and Ang Szumilo, along with select student-athletes, will represent Iona at the annual MAAC Basketball Tip-Off. The event previews the upcoming season for all 13 conference programs and features the release of the Preseason All-MAAC Teams and the predicted orders of finish.

The third annual Gaels Nation Tip-Off Dinner is set for October 24 in the LaPenta School of Business Atrium. Guests will hear from coach Geriot, enjoy an elegant dinner, and support a great cause. Proceeds benefit the Gaels Nation NIL Collective, directly impacting Iona student-athletes.
