AZUSA, CA – The Iona University acrobatics & tumbling team concluded its third season with an appearance in the 2026 NCATA Championships Event Finals on Sunday afternoon. The Gaels qualified for four events in after Thursday's quarterfinal round at the Felix Events Center.
The Maroon & Gold recorded a pair of runner up finishes in the Acro 6-Element event with a score of 9.475 and in the synchronized pyramid with a score of 9.675. Iona also tallied a third place finish in the inversion pyramid with a score if 9.775 and a fourth place finish in the 6-element tumbling pass.
Iona concludes its third season with a 3-4 record overall and made the program's second consecutive appearance in the NCATA National Championships.
