NEW ROCHELLE, NY— The Iona University softball team were represented with five student-athletes named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Recent graduates Brooke Acker (English/Sociology), Hailey Guerrero (Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology), Alivia Lichtner (Education) and Hannah Werth (Criminal Justice/Sociology) garnered CSC Academic All-District team honors for the second straight season. Sophomore Sara Piña (Psychology/Social Work) was named to the Academic All-District team for the first time.

The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize student-athletes for their hard work in the classroom and on the field. Each student athlete met the nomination criteria, having a cumulative grade-point average of at least a 3.5 and meeting the playing time requirements regarding starts/and or games played. A total of 31 softball student-athletes from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference earned CSC Academic All-District Distinction in 2025-26.
