PENNSAUKEN, NJ – The Iona University men's rowing team competed at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on Friday on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, NJ. The Gaels raced in the Men's Varsity 4+ and Men's Varsity 8+ events against a nationally competitive field.

MEN'S VARSITY 4+
TRIAL HEAT
The Gaels recorded a time of 7:55.39 in the Men's Varsity 4+ trial race. Drexel won the heat in 6:21.34, followed by Mercyhurst at 6:24.16 and Queen's at 6:27.57.

SEMIFINAL 2
Iona returned in semifinal action and posted a time of 8:38.66. Mercyhurst won the race in 6:44.12, while Queen's finished second at 6:48.80 and Temple placed third in 6:56.01.

MEN'S VARSITY 8+
TRIAL HEAT
The Gaels posted a time of 5:59.43 in the Men's Varsity 8+ trial race. Temple won the heat in 5:22.73, followed by Drexel at 5:24.56 and La Salle at 5:29.41.

Iona returned in Final 3 and recorded a 6:31.83 finish. Hobart captured the race in 5:49.84, while Stetson finished second at 5:54.75 and Embry-Riddle placed third in 5:57.92.
