BRIDGEPORT, PA — Iona University assistant water polo coach Patrick Judge has been selected to serve as an assistant coach for the United States Women's Team at the inaugural 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo 4×4 Open Championships, USA Water Polo announced.

The inaugural international event will take place August 31 through September 6 in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and will serve as the first global showcase of the sport's newest four-on-four format.

Judge will join head coach Molly Cahill on the United States Women's Team coaching staff. The eight-athlete roster features several members of the USA Water Polo Senior National Team, including Rachel Fattal, Jenna Flynn, Ryann Neushul, Jordan Raney, Jewel Roemer and Lauren Steele.

A 2017 graduate of Iona and native of Pelham, N.Y., Judge was a four-year standout for the Gaels from 2014 through 2017. He appeared in 71 games during three seasons of competition and recorded 34 career goals.

The United States will field teams in both the men's and women's competitions in Dubrovnik. A draw to determine the tournament schedule will take place on August 30.

Every game of the inaugural World Aquatics Water Polo 4×4 Open Championships will be streamed live on the World Aquatics YouTube channel.
