Iona University Athletics

Naeemah Ricketts was promoted to Coordinator of Academics for student-athletes in October 2011, after serving as the Assistant Coordinator of Academics since May 2009. 

Ricketts has done a stellar job advising and guiding the student-athletes toward academic success.  Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, management of the Judge Student-Athlete Center, monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes, coordination of student-athlete progress reports, liaison with all college academic officials and faculty members, assisting in oversight of Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), oversight of the PASS Program (promoting the academic success of student athletes) and Sports Administrator for appointed teams.

Ricketts graduated from Iona in 2009 and was a member of the women’s basketball Team from 2005-2009.  She received her bachelor's degree in Dual Education (early childhood/childhood education) and a minor in Biology and recently completed her Masters Degree in Literacy Education and Special Education.

A native of Jersey City, NJ, Ricketts resides in Mount Vernon, NY.
