Took a hard luck 0-7 record on the mound being charged with 20 unearned runs, the second most on the team... Had a season-high four strikeouts in 3.2 innings of relief vs. Maine on Mar. 16... Tossed two scoreless innings to earn a hold at Canisius on Apr. 8... Stranded two runners on in the bottom of the ninth, earning a one-out save in a thrilling 15-11 win at Central Connecticut on Apr. 26.
AS A FRESHMAN:
Made 13 appearances and five starts as a rookie posting a 1-3 record with a 9.28 ERA in 32.0 innings pitched... Started one game vs. a MAAC opponent... Struck out a season-high four in 3.0 innings of relief at Seton Hall on Mar. 30... Tossed five innnings allowing five hits, three runs and matching a season-high with four strikeouts in a no-decision at Rutgers on Apr. 20... Earned his first collegiate victory in a combined 4-0 shutout win over Fairleigh Dickinson... Pitched seven innings allowing six hits in the victory.
BEFORE IONA:
Four-year varsity letterwinner at Massapequa HS... Earned All-League and All-County honors during his tenure... Won the team's coach's award as a senior... Played for the Long Island team in 2004 in the Empire State games... Tossed a four-hitter allowing no walks and no earned runs in a LI win at the games... Played summer baseball for the Long Island Tigers and the Long Island Braves... Also a four-year starter on Massapequa's ice hockey squad, captaining the team his senior year and earning two county championships... Played with the Metro Cadets in the ACBL in the summer of 2005.
