Biography

GENERAL:
Fouth-year player that looks to continue his solid career in Maroon & Gold... Iona's starting first baseman for three straight years will serve in the role again while anchoring the middle of the order... Will continue to be looked upon to drive runs in for the Gaels... Led the team in batting average as a freshman and Junior... Strong left handed... Born 8/2/85... Majoring in Business.

AS A JUNIOR (2007):
The Gaels top offensive threat in 2007 was the lone Iona player to appear in and start all 51 games - 41 at first base and 10 as a designated hitter... Led the team in batting average (.297), hits (58), at bats (195), runs scored (24), doubles (10), home runs (7), RBI (29), multi-hit games (17) and multi-RBI efforts (8)... Was second on the squad with 10 stolen bases... Had an Iona season-high 11-game hit streak from Mar. 4-28 and recorded a hit in 17 of his first 19 games... Was 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored including his first home run of the season at to begin the hitting streak at ODU on Mar. 4... Homered at La Salle two games later on Mar. 11... Had his second three RBI effort at home vs. NY Tech on Mar. 27... Hit safely in six straight games from Apr. 7-21... Was 2-for-4 with two home runs (both solo) at Stony Brook on May 1... Followed the effort up in the next game with a season-high three hits to go along with two runs scored and three RBI at Central Connecticut on May 2... Had a season-high four RBI with a two-run home run and two sacrifice flys in an 8-6 win over Rider on May 6... Failed to reach base in just eight of 51 games played on the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2006):
Finished third in batting with a .289 batting average starting all but three games with 48 coming at first base... Led the team with 29 runs scored and was second with three home runs... Was third on the team with 11 doubles and 25 RBI... Had 13 multiple hit games including four with three hits and a four hit game at Marist on May 18... Finished third with seven multi-RBI efforts including three RBI efforts at Fairleigh Dickinson (Mar. 22), at Manhattan (Apr. 24), and four RBI at Marist on May 19... Tied an Iona season-high with two home runs at Manhattan on Apr. 24... Also had a season-high 17 put outs in the contest...Had the third longest hitting streak of 2006, hitting safely in seven straight games from Mar. 16-30... Led the team with a .988 fielding percentage with just five errors in 415 chances.

AS A FRESHMAN (2005):
Appeared in 34 games and made 23 starts while holding the highest batting average (.349) on the team... Collected 29 hits in 83 at bats scoring 10 runs while driving in 11... Started 17 games at first base and four in the outfield... Had five extra base hits including three doubles, a triple and a home run... Led the team with a .988 fielding percentage with just two errors in 162 chances... Had nine multiple-hit efforts including two three-hit efforts... Tied for third on the team with three multiple-RBI games including a team best two contests with three runs batted in... Led the team with three pinch hits... Hit in three straight games on two occasions including his first three collegiate games... Picked up a hit in his first at bat, a pinch single at Georgia Tech on Feb. 19... Had three hits at Rider on Mar. 26... Hit his first collegiate home run on Apr. 9 at Niagara... Went 3-for-3 with an RBI vs. Fordham on Apr. 26... Went 0-for-1 with three RBI at Fairfield on May 8, recorded one on a sac fly and two on a double squeeze... Went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBI vs. Saint Peter's on May 15

BEFORE IONA:
Three-time All-Section letterwinner at Eastchester HS... Earned First-team All-Journal News and All-State honors as a senior, batting .400 with six home runs and 38 RBI... Captained his Class B Sectional Title winning squad as a senior... Two-time team MVP.. Also three-time All-Section standout in basketball where he was his school's all-time leading point scorer with 1,105 points... Averaged over 20 points per game as a junior and senior... Played for the New Rochelle Robins in the summer of 2005...
