Adam Cornwell joins the Iona College baseball coaching staff as a pitching staff having most recently played for the Traverse City Beach Bums in the Independent League where he was a starting pitcher.
Cornwell played at the University of Indianapolis for the first three seasons of his collegiate career. He graduated with a BS in Sports Management and minored in Business Administration.
He transferred to the University of Pittsburgh to play his final collegiate season while beginning the pursuit for his Master's degree in Athletic Coaching Education.
While coaching with the Maroon & Gold, Cornwell is still pursuing his degree taking online classes with Ball State University.
Cornwell grew up in Bloomington, IN.
