AS A SOPHOMORE:
Appeared in 15 games making eight starts for the Gaels in 2006... Was third on the squad with 57.0 innings pitched and second with 46 strikeouts... Was the hard-luck loser of four games in which Iona failed to score a run... Struck out a season-high six batters in back to back starts vs. Rutgers and at Central Connecticut on Apr. 19 and 26... Matched the six K effort at St. John's on May 10... Surrendered three runs in 5.2 innings against the Red Storm in the outing... Allowed a run in six innings in relief in a 2-0 loss to Marist on May 18.
AS A FRESHMAN
Pitched in 10 games with eight relief appearances, 21.0 innings and 15 strikeouts... Struck out a season-high four in a loss to San Francisco State on Mar 15, his first collegiate start... Tossed 3.2 innings of effective relief at Le Moyne on Apr. 23.
BEFORE IONA:
Earned All-League, All-County and All-State honors at Smithtown HS in Long Island, same school that produced former Iona standout John Novinsky... Was named Suffolk County AA Finals MVP as well as team MVP his senior season... Also served as captain for his team... Threw a one-hit, 1-0, shutout in the sectional playoffs... Played summer baseball for the Bayside Yankees... Named the Joe Graci Tournament's MVP... In 2003 as a 16-year old, made the All-Tournament team at the CABA World Series in Atlanta, GA.
