AS A JUNIOR (2007):Served as
Iona’s primary
closer... Appeared in 21 games all in relief... Struck out 21 batters in 26.1
innings... Earned a 2-2 record with a 6.84 ERA and a career-high six saves... Earned
a win dominating relief performance at UMES on Feb. 24.

in 1.1 innings of work... Earned a save at
La Salle
on Mar. 11... Picked up two straight saves in back-to-back wins over
Siena on Mar. 23 and 24... Saved
a win at home over Wagner on Apr. 25... Tossed a perfect ninth for his fifth save
of the season at Stony Brook on May 1... Also picked up a save the next day at
Central Connecticut on May.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2006):Earned three saves in an Iona-high 21 appearances in 2006... Started six games and tossed 45.1 innings and was third on the team with 37 strikeouts... Went 3-4 (3-2 in MAAC play) on the mound tying two teammates for the team lead in victories... Batters hit .294 against him, the lowest on the squad... Had a season-high four strikeouts on three occasions vs. St. Bonaventure (Mar. 11), at Canisius (Apr. 8) and at Siena (Apr. 30)... Earned his first win of the season with two scoreless innings of relief at Canisius on Apr. 8... Picked up a save vs. Rider on Apr. 17... Earned a second win in relief at Manhattan on Apr. 24... Saved an 8-6 win with a perfect ninth the next day at Fordham on Apr. 25... Had his third relief win in an 8-7 thriller at Saint Peter's on May 6... Saved a 3-1 win vs. Fairfield on May 13.
AS A FRESHMAN (2005):Appeared in 18 games, all in relief as Iona's primary closer... Ranked second on the team with the 18 games pitched... Led the team with a 4.89 ERA with five saves in 38.2 innings pitched and 28 strikeouts... Allowed a team best .272 batting average against... Earned a four inning save, allowing just two baserunners in a 3-2 win over Fresno State on Mar. 17, his first collegiate save... Faced four batters in a one-inning save at Sacred Heart on Apr. 7... Struck out a season-high four batters vs. Manhattan on Apr. 17... Had a second four inning save at Le Moyne on Apr. 24... Earned a save at Fairfield on May 8... Struck out two in a three out save vs. Saint Peter's on May 14.
BEFORE IONA:
Three year starter on the baseball team at Warwick HS in Orange County... Recorded 78 strikeouts in 59 innings and an ERA of 1.96 while batters hit just .186 against him... Recorded a .420 average, slugging 12 home runs and 27 RBI as a senior... Captained his football, basketball and baseball teams and earned Times-Herald Record First-Team All-Tri County All Star honors in football and baseball... All Section IX Football player, earned Defensive Player of the Game honors in the sectional semifinals in 2003... Earned Warwick High School Male Athlete of the Year award as a senior.
