Iona University Athletics

Perretta joined Iona from FDU for the 2023-24 campaign after working under Szumilo for the previous two seasons. Perretta began as a graduate assistant before being elevated to assistant coach.

Before onboarding at FDU, Perretta served as the head coach of the junior varsity program and assistant coach of the varsity basketball program at Archbishop John Carroll High School in Pennsylvania.

Perretta graduated from Villanova University in 2021. His father, Harry, coached Villanova women's basketball for 42 seasons, retiring in 2020.
