Iona College women's basketball head coach Billi Godsey announced the appointment of Tatiyiana McMorris to her coaching staff in July 2015.
Prior to joining the Gaels, McMorris served as director of basketball operations at Stony Brook University. Prior to her time with the Seawolves, McMorris held graduate assistant positions at the University of Massachusetts and St. John's University.
Her primary responsibilities during those stints included overseeing team managers and practice players, assisting with scouting reports, monitoring study hall and organizing gameday operations and travel.
On the court, McMorris was an All-Big East selection at Marquette University. During her standout career, McMorris led the Golden Eagles to the NCAA Tournament twice including a second round appearance in 2011. Marquette also appeared in the WNIT semifinal in 2008.
McMorris completed her career in the top eight in four statistical categories at Marquette: fourth in three-point field goal percentage (37.1), fourth in career games played, sixth in three-point field goals made (152) and eighth in three-point field goal attempts (410).
A native of the Bronx, McMorris attended John F. Kennedy High School where she led the Lady Knights to a PSAL Championship and State Federation Class A Championship. She was a New York Daily News All-City selection, a finalist for the New York Daily News City Player of the Year and was as a top five All-New York City athlete in 2007. In 2006, McMorris was named to Street and Smith's All-America Honorable Mention list.
McMorris holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Marquette.
