Cullin Burdett

Cullin Burdett

Cullin Burdett joined the Iona College Cross Country and Track & Field program full-time in August of 2021, working underneath Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Joe Pienta.

Burdett came to the program in January of 2020 as a volunteer coach. That season, Iona won the MAAC Cross Country Championships on both the men’s & women’s side.

Burdett's coaching career began as a volunteer coach at Boston University, working for Coach Paul Spangler, the 2019 Patriot League Coach of the Year. During the fall of 2019, the women’s team won the Patriot League Championship and the men placed third. 
 
In 2018, Burdett graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Political Science and in 2019 graduated from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business with a Masters in Management Studies.

As a student-athlete at BU, he served as captain during the 2017-18 campaign, helping the program reach their highest regional ranking in over a decade. He earned All-Academic Patriot League honors & had multiple top-ten finishes at conference championships. His athletic career originally began at The University of Wisconsin-Madison, running for Mick Byrne for two-plus years prior to transferring to Boston University.

Burdett is a graduate of North Salem High School. in New York. He is the son of Francis and Jane Burdett and the older brother to Addison and Gibson Burdett.
