In addition, she organizes Front Rush and maintains and environment conductive to team growth and cohesiveness.
Hickey is an Iona College alum who graduated early with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, with a concentration in Morality and Ethics. She currently attends classes at Iona as a graduate student, while also working full-time as a special education teacher at Greenwich High School in Greenwich, CT.
Growing up in Mount Vernon, NY, Hickey enjoyed playing basketball and is an avid college basketball fan. Due to injuries, she was sidelined from competitive and high-impact sports, which has led to her practicing bikram yoga.
Hickey comes from a long line of skilled water polo players and has a few uncles that are currently named to the Iona College Hall of Fame. During her freshman year at Iona, she became a walk-on goalie for the women’s water polo team. After suffering from a debilitating shoulder injury she managed the team for the rest of her time as an undergrad at Iona.
