Catherine Conway

Catherine Conway was named assistant coach in September 2013. Conway comes to Iona after a year-long stint at Manhattan College. With the Jaspers, she mentored freshman center Stephanie Ranagan, who finished 24th nationally in draw controls, and goalie Christina Fiorinelli who finished sixth in saves and 11th in saves per game.

Conway is a 2012 graduate of Boston College, where she spent four seasons as both as a goalkeeper and midfielder for the Eagles and earned a bachelor's degree in communications (marketing and advertising) with a minor in business management.

“Catherine’s dedication to player development makes her the perfect addition to our staff to provide our athletes with the accountability and attention they need," said Mason. "She knows what it takes to win in the MAAC, understands the value of a Catholic education, and is as passionate about the game as I am.”

Conway brings a wealth of playing experience as a goalie and midfielder at the ACC level as well as a member of the USA Practice Squad and New York Athletic Club team. She has ties to the club world; coached top-CT team NewLax, and played for Northeast powerhouse MassElite.

With the Gaels, Conway's responsibilities will include recruiting, goalie training, defensive
strategy, social media, marketing for camps/clinics, individual training and scouting.
