SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) -- Will Daniels scored 18 points to lead Rhode Island to an 85-60 win over Iona on Tuesday night.

Daniels got a pair of free throws and scored the last two baskets in a 17-2 Rhode Island run near the end of the first half to pull ahead 39-24 at the break.

Parfait Bitee added 13 points for Rhode Island (4-3), Jon Lucky chipped had 12 and Jimmy Baron scored 11.

Iona (0-4) closed within 43-33 after De'Shaune Griffin made a 3-pointer with 18:09 left but Rhode Island responded with an 11-2 run, including 3-pointers from Bitee, Lamonte Ulmer and Baron, to open up a 20-point advantage.

Anthony Bruin had 17 for Iona, Griffin had 13 and Alejo Rodriguez and Justin Marshall scored 10 each. Iona had to do without Kyle Camper, who broke his right foot in practice on Monday. Camper had started all three games for Iona and was averaging 7 points per game and leading the team with 14 assists.

Rhode Island's largest lead was 67-41 when Ulmer scored a basket with 8:27 to play.
