Beth Holly saw time in a new role as defensive specialist, tying with Young at 19 for the team lead in digs. Erb was next with 18.
After falling two games behind to the Greyhounds despite a strong performance, Iona pulled it together to win game three. Megan Dailey batted two aces early to keep the Gaels close before they surged ahead on a pair of kills by Erb and Brilla. The squad remained in the lead for the rest of the game. A string of three kills followed by an ace by Young finished off Loyola. However, the Greyhounds would come back to win game four by a small margin and seal the match victory.
The Gaels will be back in action at home on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7pm as they take to the court for Senior Day.
