NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Mike Christensen scored 15 points and New Hampshire overcame an eight-point first-half deficit to beat winless Iona 67-52 on Friday night.
Blagoj Janev added 13 points and Jermaine Anderson had 11 and Tyrece Gibbs 10 for the Wildcats (2-8), who snapped a four-game losing streak.
Dexter Gray, a junior transfer from St. John's playing his second game for the Gaels (0-10), scored a career-high 20 points.
Iona led 19-11 after Gray scored with 12:24 left in the first half, but Christensen had 11 points to propel New Hampshire to a 42-34 halftime lead.
The Gaels, who shot 25.8 percent from the field in the second half, never got closer than 46-40 after Justin Marshall scored with 16:18 left in the game.
Marshall and Anthony Bruin each scored eight points for Iona.
The Wildcats were 9-of-23 from 3-point range while the Gaels were 1-of-8.
