NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Michael Van Schaick, Herbie Allen and Jonathan Han each drilled 3-pointers in overtime to help Fairfield defeat winless Iona 83-76 on Sunday.
Han scored 19 points, Van Schaick had 16 and Allen 15 for the visiting Stags (4-15, 2-5 Metro Atlantic), losers of their previous five games.
Devon Clarke scored 18 points, Anthony Bruin added 16 and Milan Prodanovic 15 for the Gaels (0-16, 0-6).
There were five lead changes in the first half, which ended at 31-31. It was only the second time this season the Gaels were at least tied at the break.
Iona scored the first seven points of the second half and led by as much as 51-42 after Clarke scored with 13:31 left in regulation.
Fairfield earned its first lead of the second half at 64-62 when Van Schaick scored with 1:50 left, then went up 66-62 on a basket by Marty O'Sullivan.
Clarke scored with 40 seconds remaining and Mike Harris hit a shot with two seconds left to send the game into overtime.
Prodanovic scored the first basket in overtime but Van Schaick responded with a 3-point basket and the Stags never trailed after that.
The Gaels made 60 percent of their shots from the floor to 49.1 percent for Fairfield, but Iona committed 20 turnovers to 14 by the Stags.
